This website is purely a 'bare bones' skeleton of our e-commerce solution which adopts the familiar shopping basket approach. That's why there are virtually NO design graphics used, it can be adapted to suit any client's website design/colours. It's designed to allow you to play with the system and see how it works. It's fully functional, except for the credit card debiting procedure at the end of the checkout process - so you can't spend any money while you examine the system. :-)

The first demo product range is table lamps and is an ideal type of product for the Shopping Basket approach. The more descriptive elements of these products have yet to be developed.

The second demo product range is school photos, taken at various events and published on the web for viewing and purchasing in a range of different sizes. Try it yourself and at the checkout point assume you are a 16 year old with no credit card (and Dad won't let you use his) so you need to print out your order and send in a cheque. You will see the order form is created dynamically for maximum convenience and clarity.

IMPORTANT: Pretty well every aspect of this site is editable by the customer through the private content management system at http://ecommerce.merlin.uk.net/admin/. To get your individual username and password to gain access to this part of the system - just email adrian@merlin.uk.net
